Denise Linn at the Celebrate Your Life Conference in Sedona, Arizona

The photo above was taken at the 'Celebrate Your Life' conference in Sedona, Arizona this past November.  That's me, Denise Linn, and my dear friend Patti.  I am posting this because I used Denise's oracle card deck for what was a very powerful and positive daily card reading for you today, and I mentioned in that reading that I would post this picture here for you to see.  As I said in referencing Denise in your reading today, she is a beautiful Soul who is absolutely 'living her purpose' and what she shares as a spiritual messenger is a 'melding' of all her spiritual learnings, which includes having studied with indigenous peoples and tribes, and that is why I resonate so strongly with her, because my background is varied also. Denise's mother was a Cherokee Indian, and although Denise was not raised in their ways, she has consciously studied with and now embraces much of their spiritual belief and ways and incorporates that in her teachings.  She led a beautiful opening and closing ceremony at the conference in Sedona and the picture of her below was taken just prior to the closing ceremony.  Wonderful...

Chakra Clearing

Clearing and balancing chakras came up for you in your daily card reading today, so I am posting some information about that for you.

Chakras (a Sanskrit word, meaning 'wheel') are the energy centers of your body, and although there are MANY, we generally refer to the 7 major chakras, which are illustrated in the chart above.
Each chakra has a different color vibration, to do with the speed that it vibrates at.  Below is a very brief description of the 7 major chakras:

The ROOT chakra, located at the base of the spine, is red, and it is the slowest vibration of all your chakras.  This energy centre relates to issues of security and safety.  The gland associated with this chakra is the adrenal gland.

The SACRAL chakra, located just below your navel, is orange and vibrates at a slightly faster rate than the root chakra.  This energy centre relates to issues of creativity and appetite.  The glands associated with this chakra are the reproductive organs.

The SOLAR PLEXUS chakra, located in your midriff, is yellow and vibrates at a slightly faster rate than the sacral chakra.  This energy centre relates to issues of personal power. The associated gland is the pancreas.

The HEART chakra, located in your chest, is green and it vibrates at a slightly faster rate than the solar plexus chakra.  This energy centre relates to issues of giving and receiving Love.  The gland associated with this chakra is the thymus.

The THROAT chakra is located in your throat, where your adam's apple is, and it is sky-blue in color.  It vibrates at a slightly faster rate than your heart chakra.  This energy centre relates to issues of communication. The gland associated with this chakra is the thyroid gland.

The THIRD EYE chakra is located in the centre of your forehead, is indigo in colour, and vibrates at a slightly faster rate than your throat chakra.  This energy centre is related to psychic vision.  The gland associated with this chakra is the pituatary gland.

The CROWN chakra is located on the top, or crown, of your head.  It is violet in colour and vibrates at a slightly faster rate than your third eye chakra.  This energy centre relates to Divine connection and communication with Higher Self.  The gland associated with this chakra is the pineal gland.

Chakras are highly sensitive.  If they absorb 'negative' energy (eg. being around negative people/situations, holding negative thoughts), they become dark or 'dirty' and change in size.  A 'shrunken' chakra is the result of fear-based energy.  An 'enlarged' chakra is the result of obsession.  Once you know and understand the energies associated with chakras, it's easier to 'tap in' and connect with your chakras.
There are various methods of clearing and balancing your chakras (you want your chakras to be clear and bright in their particular colour, and to be equal to each other in size throughout your body, in whatever size is suitable for YOUR body).  The most common means to clear and balance your chakras are:

~ Guided meditation (there are many CD's available for purchase, as well as YouTube meditations to assist you with chakra clearing and balancing...Doreen Virtue's is a popular one).  A few years ago, I created a guided meditation for clearing and balancing your chakras, if you are interested.

~ Archangel Michael:  You simply invoke Archangel Michael and ask that he clear and balance your chakras for you...this is a 'quick fix' method, and happens very quickly, as Archangel Michael is not restricted by time and space in the same way that we are in the physical body. Quiet yourself, and use whatever words feel right for you...it is truly all about your INTENTION to receive assistance in having your chakras cleared and balanced, and then be open to having Michael do so for you.

~ Crystal energy:  there are certain crystals said to align well energetically with each chakra...  Following, is a brief listing of these crystals, but as ALWAYS with crystal energy, rely on your own guidance and intuition in choosing crystals to work with, as we all carry our own unique resonance, and what works for one person may not for another...
You can place the crystals on the corresponding chakra and ask that the crystal assist you in clearing and aligning your chakras; you can simply carry the crystals with you and ask that they work their magic on you throughout the day; or you can sleep with the crystals in your proximity...there are really no limitations!  
Here's a list of possible crystals to use:
Root:  Agate, Bloodstone, Hematite, Red Coral, Red Garnet, Ruby
Sacral:  Carnelian, Coral, Gold Calcite, Moonstone
Solar Plexus:  Amber, Citrine, Tiger's Eye, Topaz, Yellow Sapphire
Heart:  Emerald, Green Jade, Kunzite, Rose Quartz, Tourmaline
Throat Chakra:  Aquamarine, Blue Sapphire, Blue Topaz, Chalcedony, Turquoise
Third Eye:  Azurite, Calcite, Lapis Lazuli, Sodalite, Quartz
Crown:  Alexandrite, Amethyst, Clear Quartz, Diamond (including Herkimer), Selenite
Note:  There are 'chakra wands' available, which have a crystal for each chakra housed on the wand, and there are also 'chakra pendants', and 'chakra bracelets'...all are beautiful tools for working with your chakras.

~ Pendulums: some use pendulums to indicate the 'condition' of their chakra by asking a 'yes' or 'no' question while holding the pendulum in front of a particular chakra (eg. "Is my root chakra out of balance?" etc.)

~ Reiki energy and/or treatment ~ implementing Reiki symbols to clear chakras

~ Yoga practise ~ particularly yogic breath

~ Smudging with sage and other sacred medicines

~ Essential oils, applied to the chakra points or diffused in your space 

And the list goes on!  
It is important to take care of yourself energetically, in order to 'feel your best'!  Just as you regularly practise good physical hygiene to present your optimal self to the world, so it is with taking care of yourself energetically.  We are unique and there is no 'right or wrong' way to clear and balance your chakras...as with ANY spiritual practise, it is all about INTENTION!!!  I have offered some suggestions above but I truly encourage you to experiment and develop a technique that resonates completely with you...perhaps you will implement a combination of some of the techniques presented above.  Know that your guides and angels are excited to work with you in this way, also!  You just need to ask...

Your Wellness Expo ~ I am in gratitude!

Panache Desai ~ Where to begin?

The photo above was taken following the full day conference I attended with Panache Desai in Sedona, Arizona on November 4th/13.  I had just finished telling him that he had "rocked my world"!  We were then able to enjoy a half hour conversation about what is up and coming for him in terms of his book that he is currently writing and future events and courses that he has planned.  It felt as though I was speaking with an old friend.  As I stated briefly in yesterday's blog, I see Panache as a visionary and a messenger, but what is impressive about him is that he does NOT reside in Ego about that!  He not only embraces his 'humanness', but he celebrates it, and encourages us to do the same.  He declares that, "Humanity is the doorway to our Divinity."

Now, where to begin in sharing with you what he shared with us in that full day seminar?

I have long held the understanding that 'everything is energy', so Panache affirming that resonated with me.  What I am striving to assimilate and integrate is his assertion that energy is not to be labeled as 'positive' or 'negative', and that it is not necessary to shield or protect ourselves energetically.  As a person who has always been very sensitive to energy, and as an empath, who has a tendency to pick up on, and sometimes 'take on' other's energies, I have been so grateful for the tools that I have been given over the past 15 years to assist me in taking care of myself energetically.  These tools of shielding and clearing myself energetically have been of huge benefit to me and have also allowed me to open myself again more fully to my intuitive abilities without taking on what is not mine.  Yet while I am completely on the same page as Panache that everything is energy and I can embrace that it is not for us to judge whether energy is 'good' or 'bad', or 'positive' or 'negative', I struggle with his assertion that it is not necessary for us to shield or protect ourselves from energy that is not ours.  Rather than 'good' or 'bad' or 'positive' or 'negative', I can absolutely embrace the less 'judgmental' labels of 'mine' or 'not mine' in terms of energy that I am exposed to.  As a highly sensitive person, I have experienced moving through life with and without the tools I have acquired and I can tell you that I function far better when implementing the tools!  What intrigued me also is that Panache spoke at the beginning of the day of having recently lost 30 pounds of weight and intending to lose 10 more. He attributed the extra weight he had been carrying on his body to the fact that as an empath, he had gained this extra weight in response to all the dense energy he was exposed to when doing personal readings/sessions with others.  He alluded to the weight as being a means of dealing with the dense energies he had been exposed to. So, I am not sure how to assimilate his sharing of his experience of gaining weight as a result of exposure to other's energy with his assertion that we don't need to shield and protect ourselves energetically.  I did not have the opportunity to explore with Panache what I see as conflicting messages, and I understand that with any and all messengers/ teachers we are meant to take away from their sharing with us what resonates with our Soul, but I look forward to addressing this with Panache at some point so that I can have a clearer understanding of his perspective on caring for ourselves energetically as empaths.   In the meantime, I have concluded that I will continue to utilize the beautiful and effective tools of shielding and clearing myself energetically, because that is what works best for me at this time.  Perhaps Panache's advanced and visionary understanding of energy allows and affords him the ability to move through this life experience as an open vessel energetically and perhaps that is what we are all moving toward.  Perhaps he is meant to use his life as an example of how to live in that way... I look forward to deeper understanding and discovery for myself in this regard!
Further to that, Panache made the declaration that there are no 'good' or 'bad' emotions---they are simply emotions meant to be experienced. He states that, "Emotion is energy in motion."  He professes that it is in our best interest to allow ourselves to fully experience emotions and to allow them to flow through us, without attempting to deny or 'squash' the notion that they exist for us, including those emotions that would be labeled as 'bad' or 'negative', such as anger, fear or grief. Our most effective strategy in embracing any and all emotions is to breathe through them, he says.  Penache asserts that when we attempt to deny the experience of anger, fear or grief, these emotions take up residence within us and can become 'energetic blocks' that do not serve us.  It is my understanding that Panache encourages us to not only acknowledge the emotion, but to embrace it and EXPERIENCE it, and even to bless it, so that it can move vibrationally through our body with ease and grace.  I have much to learn regarding this!

Another powerful teaching of Panache's is that there is 'no-thing' we need to do to, and 
nowhere we need to get to because we are already 'in perfection' from the viewpoint of the Divine.  While I can fully embrace being unconditionally loved by the Divine, I have long held the belief that my 'Soul Journey' is to progress myself and to learn and integrate the lessons that my Soul has contracted to learn while on that journey.  So, again, I truly want to get into deeper discussion with Panache in regards to his statement that there is 'no-thing' we need to do...I KNOW he has a great deal more to say on the subject, and that we only skimmed the surface of what he has to share!  He says that all we need to do is to live in love. The following is a direct quote from the 3 hour session we had with Panache (I was too INVOLVED in the depth of the session with Panache during the full day on Monday to take notes!), and it speaks to the root of his teachings, I believe:

"Your connection to your Soul determines the quality and experience of your Life.  And the clarity of that connection determines how much of your infinite potential is exposed in every area of your Life."

I am in gratitude, Panache!  As with any great spiritual messenger, you have caused me to look deep within myself and you have motivated and inspired me to continue the quest of making what I call the 'conscious connection'!  I feel that this was just the beginning of my learnings from you...

Celebrate Your Life Conference ~ Sedona, AZ ~ Panache Desai

I am so grateful to have also had a full day post-conference session with Panache on Monday, November 4/13.  Since, I had been striving to process and integrate all that I experienced that day, so that I could share it with you...I am still doing that!  It was a powerful experience that, as I later told Panache, 'rocked my world'!  He is truly a visionary, and I was struck by his self-confidence and self-assured way of 'being', yet he is very accessible and approachable and AUTHENTIC!

As I indicated on my previous posting, I am thrilled to be participating as a vendor at 'Your Wellness Expo' at the Legion Hall in Olds, Alberta on Saturday, November 30th/13 from 
10 to 5 pm.  Admission is free to this event where there will be some amazing vendors in attendance to serve you!  
There are 8 scheduled speakers/presenters throughout the day, also, of which I am one!  
I will be speaking from 11:30-12:00, following my very dear friend, Cindy Smith, who has absolutely influenced me on my spiritual journey!  I will be speaking about the 'Akashic Records' and I am thrilled to share my passion for this beautiful means of 'making the connection' with you~truly an honour!
I will be offering 30 minute Akashic Records consultations for $40.  Stop by my booth to sign up (sorry, no pre-booking readings at this event).

Celebrate Your Life Conference ~ Oct. 30th to Nov. 4th/13

I am thrilled to be attending the 'Celebrate Your Life' Conference in Sedona, Arizona, 
Oct. 30th to Nov. 4th!  My adventure concludes with a full day seminar led by Panache Dasai on Monday, November 4th...it will be a small, intimate group of people and I am so excited about what I will learn and experience throughout the conference, but particularly in that session with Panache!
The photo above was taken during a hike last spring with my husband, to the Cathedral Rock vortex in Sedona, which is in close proximity to the Enchantment Resort where the conference is being held!  Pretty spectacular setting and energy!

Back in the groove...and thrilled to be doing Akashic Records Consultations here in Anthem!

Above are some photos taken of the hot air balloon ride we loved experiencing in Temecula, California, while we were away on our motorcycle trip with friends early this month.  It was such a great experience!  As I shared briefly on my 'Daily Card Reading' page on this site, we were fortunate to take in many wonderful experiences along the way on our bike trip, as well as some spectacular riding roads, including a road ranked as one of the top 6 motorcycling roads in the United States!  Lots of twists and turns and beautiful views! 

We are now settled into our home here in Anthem, Arizona, and I am thrilled to be booked for 4 consultations here yesterday and today, with 4 more already booked for an upcoming weekend.  It feels truly wonderful to be in the Akashic Records energy again, and to have the spiritual service aspect of my life being embraced in our Southern home as well!  Huge gratitude to Curt, a Phoenix resident who had seen me for a consultation while on a trip to Calgary, for 'spreading the word' about me down here in Phoenix!!  I am in deep gratitude, Curt!  When chatting with one of my clients yesterday, after her consultation, we realized that we had both been at the 'Divine Wisdom' conference with Doreen Virtue, Denise Linn, Colette Baron-Reid, and Lisa Williams, here in Phoenix last February, also!  It is indeed, a 'small world'!  Don't you just love how the Universe works?

We are off to Arizona!

My husband and I are leaving this Thursday, September 26th/13 for our place in Anthem, Arizona! We will be taking a few days to drive down, so while I intend to continue to post my daily card readings while enroute, please understand that it may not always be possible. We are blessed to have 2 months to spend down south, and we will be returning to our Alberta home at the end of November.  I will continue to be active on my site except during our motorcycle trip with our dear friends through California, September 30th - October 11th (I have to pack lightly, and the laptop is not an option!)  I have some exciting experiences awaiting me during my time in Arizona, including the 'Celebrate Your Life' conference in Sedona, Arizona, October 30th - November 4th...so looking forward to that, and I will be sure to share some of my experiences with you once I am back from the conference!

Thank you to all the beautiful Souls who visited me at my booth at the Spiritual Farmer's Market at Vitality Crystals & Fountains yesterday!  What an awesome day!  The weather on this fall equinox day could not have been better, and as usual, Melanie and Cathy created a warm, inviting space for us to enjoy!  I loved connecting with each and every one of you and I thank you for the honour...I am in gratitude!

How do I receive the messages for my daily card readings?

I have taken my time in posting this message, because I have struggled with, "How do you put into words what seems to just 'happen naturally', and feels like an integral part of you?"
I wish to honour Wendy's enquiry, however, as to how the process of expressing the messages I share in the 'Daily Card Reading' come to me...so, here goes!

The first step is to 'surrender' and to know that the message that is coming through is not 'from me' so to speak...  I just ALLOW... I understand that there are energies at play far greater than our physical understanding and that I am but the CONDUIT to relay the messages.  Having said that, I ABSOLUTELY focus on being in LOVE & LIGHT energy, and I truly focus on being in a 'heart-centered place of service' as I am selecting the card deck, having the card present itself, and receiving the messages that are meant to come forward for that card on that day.  I honour the sacredness of connecting with Spirit! I truly place myself in a place of TRUSTING, ALLOWING AND RECEIVING, and then I JUST TYPE!!  That is honestly how it happens, it just flows and the words just come!  On the rare occasions when I have ventured back to read some of the entries that 'I' have made, I understand completely that I was guided in sharing the messages...that they are from Spirit, and not from 'Linda'... That sounds so 'woo woo', but all I can tell you is that it feels both natural and good, and that I absolutely feel a sense of joy in receiving these messages for you!
It is also my deepest belief that we all have the capacity to connect to our Higher Self in our own way...I have spent 15 years studying and developing 'making the conscious connection' to the point that it now feels 'natural' to me when I set the intention to do so...it can be the same for you!  Your guides and angels are gifts from the Creator to assist you in navigating your way through this physical lifetime that you are experiencing...they WANT to be in conscious communication with you!  If visiting the 'Daily Card Reading' that I post encourages you and validates for you the connections that you HAVE BEEN and ARE making with your 'TEAM', then my Soul is rejoicing! How do I choose the cards and receive the messages for the daily card reading blog page?

It has always been my intention to use this blog page to share my learnings on the Spiritual path, and to address and answer questions and commentary directed my way.  Recently I received a beautiful e-mail from someone who had been referred to the 'Daily Card Reading' page on my website by her sister-in-law.  She told me that she now visits the site regularly and that the cards drawn each day have had meaning for her...she wondered how I choose the cards and how the messages come to me...  I am in deep gratitude for her feedback and acknowledgment (thank you, Wendy!) and I honour her enquiry with this attempt to explain what is often hard to put into words! 

The photo above was taken of my basket of card decks...I have a black silk cloth that I drape over the basket to 'protect' it and I ensure that this basket is in a space where it will not be exposed to a lot of energy. I have acquired this collection of card decks over the past decade or more.  I purchase decks that I resonate with energetically, and that is how I choose which deck I will draw your reading from each day. I choose the deck to draw your daily reading from intuitively~it is simply the deck that I feel 'drawn' to at that moment. If you have been following my 'Daily Reading' blog, you know that Spirit presents the cards in interesting ways at times!  My role is to trust, allow and believe!
Once I have purchased a deck, consecrated it and aligned it with my energy, I do not allow others to touch my decks or cards.  I DO have a couple of decks that I have acquired with the INTENTION that they be used by and for others, and those decks are kept separate from these.
I teach an afternoon or evening course on how to work with oracle card decks, and I LOVE sharing with others how to use this beautiful divination tool!  Working with oracle cards is also a component of my weekend 'Conscious Connections' course.  You select your own Doreen Virtue angel oracle card deck which is included in course cost, and then I teach you how to work with them.  Anyone can use oracle card decks to assist them in making the connection!

So, that's how the cards themselves are chosen...'stay tuned' for how the messages come forward for each reading!

A Few Announcements!

I have a few things to share about upcoming events/activities/offerings! 

First, I am happy to now offer Gift Certificates which can be purchased for any value that you designate and the certificate will be valid for services (meaning consultations and/or courses) and products (which means a selection of the crystals, jewellery, pendulums, sage, salt crystal. sage oil, etc,. that I have in house) or a combination thereof!  Please advise the recipient of the gift certificate that they must present it in order to redeem it!

Spiritual Farmer's Market at Vitality Crystals and Fountains ~ August 24 & 25, 2013

I am thrilled to be a vendor at the Spiritual Farmer's Market at Vitality Crystals & Fountains again this upcoming Saturday and Sunday...August 24 & 25/13 from 10 to 5 each day!
This is the only 2 day market of the year.  I have loved connecting with you at the previous markets this summer and look forward to our time together this weekend!  There is another market planned for September, but I am unsure if I will be attending that one, so this may be our last opportunity to connect this summer.  I will be offering half hour Akashic Records Consultations for $40...stop by my booth to sign up for a reading (sorry...no pre-booking), or to get some information.  I will have with me some of the crystal singing bowls that we are marketing...feel free to stop around to play and/or purchase one...music for the Soul!

June 9th, 2013...Spiritual Farmer's Market

Whoa!!! Have you been feeling it too???

Whoa!!! Have you been feeling it, too???  While I am in no way knowledgable about astronomy or astrology, I have always been extremely sensitive to energy and energy shifts, and 'whallapalooza', we have most certainly been in the midst of THAT!!!

Above, is a photo of the recent full moon, taken in Australia, and what a vision!  THANK YOU to the person who captured that beautiful image to share with us!  I am also in DEEP GRATITUDE to those who ARE knowledgable about astronomy and astrology and who have been sharing their insight with us, thereby explaining some of what I have been experiencing and FEELING lately!  THANK YOU, Barb, for introducing me to Elizabeth Peru, and her newsletter...reading it gave me insight into the 'whys' of what I had been experiencing on a cosmic level...According to Elizabeth, we have been in a particularly powerful 'eclipse season', the likes of which we haven't experienced since 1995.  The difference this time, according to Elizabeth, is that this time we are, "clearing the slate to prepare for the BIRTH of a new series of Eclipses on May 25".  Elizabeth states that, following the recent eclipse on May 24/25, we are entering into a new season of eclipses that will occur over the next 1,262 years, at 18 year intervals...  This new season of eclipses that we are entering into are themed by what we create and manifest in our lives NOW...
WOW! Powerful! 

What is most interesting to me is that what Elizabeth is sharing with us has been prevalent in all the 'metaphysical mentoring' that has been presented of late...  Not only from an astrological viewpoint, but from various perspectives, there has been an energy of shifting and changing...of releasing what no longer serves you, rather than remaining in the 'status quo'...of stepping into your authenticity and looking at the REAL reason that you are here...
I know that with 2013, I personally, have felt not only the DESIRE to step more firmly onto my Spiritual path, but I have felt COMPELLED to do so!!! We are being PROPELLED forward and I have witnessed so many people taking real and guided action to move forward on their life path in a positive way!! Woo Hooo!  We are not only being supported energetically by the Universe in making these changes, we are being NUDGED, ENCOURAGED and sometimes downright OBLIGATED to shine our Light upon the world!  More and more, we are being reminded that we are co-creators of our experiences and we are being pushed to take responsibility for ourselves and our movement forward as a society!  This theme is prevalent in the messages being shared by so many Spiritual leaders right now!

So, no doubt, we  are moving in a positive direction, but this does not come without moments of discomfiture!!  Change, even positive change, can feel uncomfortable and foreign in the beginning...you know how we sometimes hold onto old habits just because they are familiar?  There is always a period of adjustment when we move into the new...Then, there is the fact that prior to our changing something, there usually needs to be evidence provided to us that there is a NEED for change...and THAT is generally made evident through some sort of experience or event that brings to light what is no longer 'working' for us...right? A catalyst for change...

Well, for many of us, one of the catalysts for change recently has been provided by the cosmic energy that we have experiencing...this cosmic energy has been 'amping up' and assisting us in bringing to the surface what we need to release in order to move forward in a positive way...although the angst I was feeling around this recent full moon, I would not necessarily have described as feeling like it was 'assisting' me (when in truth, it really was)!  Many of us utilize the energy of the full moon to facilitate 'releasing' what we need to from our lives, and the full moon with a lunar eclipse on May 24/25 was a SUPER moon in that regard...so if you were feeling agitated, anxious and just generally 'off' during that period of time, (and you may still reside in that energy, somewhat)  know that you were actually bringing to the surface what needed clearing and as uncomfortable as it may have felt at times, it was a necessary step in the right direction...  Just knowing that you were not alone in how you were feeling can bring great relief!  Realize also that, 'this too shall pass'!

Look to the new moon on June 8th as an opportunity to shift into focussing on what it is you choose to draw into your life and manifest for yourself, with the knowing that you have done the releasement work required to make room for all the good that is awaiting you!  When you are your best self, it impacts all who come in contact with you...you DO make a difference!  We are blessed to be here during this time of enlightenment...your Soul chose to be here during this wondrous time...     How will YOU shine your LIGHT?

Spiritual Farmer's Market

I am very happy to share that I will be a vendor at the 'Spiritual Farmer's Market' at 
Vitality Crystals & Fountains on Sunday, June 9/13 from 10 to 5!!!  This is the first of a few markets  planned throughout this summer...

Melanie Anderson, the owner of this amazing crystal shop located west of Bowden, created this event in 2012, to showcase various healers and Lightworkers here in Alberta.

I participated in 2 of the Markets last year and I honestly had a blast!  This is an outdoor event situated in Melanie's spectacular farm yard which is graced with fountains of Melanie's creation...fun to just sit by, take in the energy of the countryside, and relax...

Taking care of yourself energetically...cutting etheric cords

In the daily card reading today, the beautiful card above was the card drawn for you.  It is titled, 'Gentle Release', and it has inspired today's entry!
This fractal art card is aligned with Archangel Michael energy and his message was about how he is there to assist us with cutting etheric cords.  Although I am sure that there are many of you who know about and practise this means of energy clearing, I feel compelled to write about this today for those who may not be aware of this technique.  Archangel Michael's energy stepped forward in the reading today for a reason!  I know that I am certainly in gratitude for his reminder to utilize this wonderful tool for taking care of myself energetically!
As a person who has been ultra-sensitive to energy all my life, and who has had people say to me time and again, "Why do you have to be so sensitive?", and "Why do you feel things so deeply?", and "Why is that bothering (or affecting) you?", I can tell you that I often asked myself the very same questions!  It was an absolute GIFT to me when the technique of 'etheric cord cutting' came into my life!

The following is from the course that I teach called 'Conscious Connections':

"Etheric cords are energetic connections that look something like surgical tubing to the psychic eye.  Energy flows back and forth between the attachments.  These cords were formed due to fear-based energy exchanged between the persons or from a person to an object.  Etheric cords grow larger in relation to the length and intensity of the relationship, and so the largest cords tend to be between parents, siblings, spouses and children, etc. 
People (and even objects) can literally 'syphon' energy from you and cause you to feel 'drained'.
Cutting etheric cords does not mean that you are abandoning a relationship, or that you are  'cutting yourself off from' the loving aspect of that relationship--it's just releasing the unhealthy part of the relationship, for the good of all concerned.  Cords can and will reattach when fear-based (remember that 'fear' is defined as the opposite of 'love') energy occurs in a relationship, and it is important to be aware of your own energy, and to cut cords whenever you feel the need.  People who are in the 'caring professions' (teachers, counsellors, healers, etc.), and people who have a lot of contact with others (bank tellers, store clerks, etc.) need to cut cords on a regular basis.

How To Cut Etheric Cords

To cut etheric cords you call on Archangel Michael and then Archangel Raphael for assistance (Archangel Michael is the supreme protector, and Archangel Raphael is the healer).
You simply relax, close your eyes, if you wish, and say aloud or in your mind the following invocation that Doreen Virtue suggests:
 "Archangel Michael, I call upon you now to cut the cords of fear that are draining my energy and vitality."

Then ask Archangel Raphael to fill that area with green healing light, and it is done!

Always give thanks to the angels for their assistance...the Universe loves gratitude, and by thanking them, you release them, also...

Please hear me when I say...IT IS ALL ABOUT INTENTION...YOUR INTENTION TO HAVE THE ETHERIC CORDS CUT!!  If you choose different words or don't get the words exactly right, it simply does not matter!  It is the energy of your intention to do so that is most powerful...intend it, and so it is!
Some people will have a physical reaction, such as a shiver/shudder or a releasement of pain, as the cords are being cut, and some will just have a 'knowing' of where the cord was attached.  You don't have to know who you are cutting cords with, but if you DO know, then insert that person's name when you use the invocation of Archangel Michael above.  If you don't know specifically who you're cutting cords with, pay attention to who pops into your mind as you do the cord cutting...you may be surprised!

If you're holding on to anger or unforgiveness toward the person involved, the cord can be very difficult to cut.  So, in addition to your previous invocation, you may add a prayer suggested by Doreen Virtue in such situations:

"I am willing to trade pain for peace.  I ask for peace to replace any pain, now."

So....there you have it...an excerpt from my 'Conscious Connections' course that I felt compelled to share with you!!  Archangel Michael must have sensed that there was a need for this to be shared today, because I had no intention to blog about this prior to pulling the card for the daily card reading this morning!!

I would add that you may try placing your hand on the fractal art card pictured above to see what you pick up from it...perhaps you will feel Archangel Michael's energy come through strongly for you, as I did when I laid my hand upon it this morning!  And, just a reminder that the Archangel's vibration is such that they have the ability to bi-locate...they can be with multiple souls simultaneously...so by calling on Archangel Michael and Archangel Raphael to be with you, you are not keeping them from working with another!

In closing this post today, I'd like to share with you how this amazing tool came into my life...
In 2005, I was attending a Body, Soul and Spirit Expo in Calgary.  I liked to travel with my 'posse' in those days when attending any kind of metaphysical event or course...my friends who understood my pursuit of learning in this field of knowledge, and who supported me on this journey as I supported them on their journey.  I spontaneously signed up for what was to be a 15 minute reading with an 'angel reader' there named Cindy Johnson...I had not had a lot of 'readings' at this time, and prior to this, when I had gone for a reading, it was at the recommendation (and sometimes the URGING) of one of my 'posse' whose guidance I trusted.  Something told me to sign up for this reading with Cindy, even though I didn't know at that time what an 'angel reader' was (years later, I would study to be one, myself!)  As I said, she was offering 15 minute readings, but she ended up spending 45 minutes with me (and not because she didn't have other people signed up following me)!!   Well, the first thing she said to me when I sat down was, "Oh my dear...you are so covered in cords!! You must be exhausted!"  Let me tell you that she was so right!  I HAD been experiencing such fatigue around that time that I couldn't understand...I knew that I wasn't feeling depresssed or sad or even physically ill...I just felt like I was 'dragging my butt', and I could not understand why!  She said that we needed to cut etheric cords, that this would be an important tool for me and that I should pick up a book by Doreen Virtue that would explain the technique to me in greater detail...at that point I pulled a book out of my bag and asked, "Do you mean this book?"  I had just 5 minutes prior to my reading with Cindy, purchased a book by Doreen Virtue called, 'The Lightworkers Way', and it was the first book by Doreen that I ever purchased!  Do you see how the Universe works??? AMAZING!!   Anyhow, Cindy continued on to say that the largest and most draining cords were to my children and we would start with cutting them...to which I replied, "Just hold on a minute, here!  I am a MOTHER first and foremost, and you will NOT be cutting any cords between me and my kids!"  She patiently explained to me that none of the love energy would be severed and encouraged me to read the section about 'Etheric Cord Cutting' in Doreen's book that I had just purchased when I got home, to better understand...(I am smiling wryly as I think back to this, because I DO better understand, now!)  Suffice to say, that Cindy conducted the cord cutting for me that afternoon, and I cannot put into words the difference that I felt!  I understand that it may seem very 'woo-woo'...trust me when I say that I approached it with some degree of skepticism initially, also.  All I can tell you is that, for me, it works!  If I feel a little 'down' either energetically or emotionally, and I sense that it is not 'mine', it is a reminder for me to cut cords and I feel better immediately upon doing so!  Keep in mind that, when cutting cords, you are not going into judgment about 'good' or 'bad' or 'better or less than'...you are cutting the cords to energy that is NOT YOURS.  I cut cords all the time with people that I consider to be absolute loving beings in my life...it is just that I have my own energy field, and I don't need to be carrying their stuff around with me, too, because it is not MINE.
Cutting cords does not imply that you cannot be a compassionate, caring person either. I hope that is very clear!
